Myrtle Beach, S.C. — Grand Strand high school football teams are sprinkled through the latest statewide RPI board as South Carolina enters the final month of the regular season, with all five classifications using RPI for playoff seeding for the first time.

In Class 5A Lower State, Carolina Forest sits at 0.57096 and Socastee at 0.45309 on the MaxPreps-based Rating Percentage Index that weighs wins, losses and strength of schedule.

Class 4A Lower State listings include North Myrtle Beach at 0.66108, Myrtle Beach at 0.52114, Conway at 0.46540 and St. James at 0.42717 among schools that can climb or fall as region races finish.

Separate MaxPreps statewide rankings boards list Carolina Forest at 5-2 and North Myrtle Beach at 6-1 among South Carolina teams tracked this week, underscoring how Grand Strand records feed the same playoff math.
