# SLED and FBI Serve Warrants Near St. James High

MURRELLS INLET, S.C. — In Murrells Inlet, SLED and FBI teams worked a Wednesday morning warrant operation in the Pines of St. James neighborhood off Highway 707, across from St. James High School.

SLED said agents and partners were serving arrest and search warrants at a Pollen Loop residence in the 1200 block. The person named in the paperwork did not come outside when ordered, and Horry County police later entered the residence. The Horry County Police Department is investigating what happened inside; the Horry County Coroner’s Office also responded to the taped-off block.

FBI Columbia Field Office spokesman Kevin Wheeler said agents were assisting SLED and offered no further case details. Horry County Police spokesperson Ashley Boles confirmed the department was helping federal partners in the Murrells Inlet neighborhood.

Horry County Schools kept St. James High students inside before the bell instead of letting them wait outdoors and added campus security for the morning, spokesperson Lisa Bourcier said.

The street sits inside The Pines of St. James, a residential pocket facing the high school campus along the Highway 707 corridor in southern Horry County.
