Conway Natives Celebrate Love with Traditional Southern Wedding

Conway, SC – On April 6, 2024, local residents Stephanie Nicole Edge and Graham McNeil Anderson exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony at the First Baptist Church in Conway. This occasion marked a significant event in the lives of two Conway natives, who first met in high school and have been together for over eight years.

The Proposal

The couple’s journey to the altar included an elaborate proposal that Graham meticulously planned. They visited their favorite restaurant in McClellanville, T.W. Graham’s, under the pretense of looking at a house for sale nearby. Instead, Graham surprised Stephanie by proposing on a picturesque dock overlooking the inlet. The moment was memorable, captured beautifully by a photographer friend, allowing their families to celebrate alongside them that evening.

Wedding Details

Their wedding was a grand affair, boasting the essence of traditional Southern elegance. Approximately 400 guests witnessed the ceremony, which featured 10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen. Beautifully arranged, the church was adorned with candles and white flowers, creating a romantic atmosphere complemented by the music of a pianist and organist, alongside beautiful solos.

The reception took place at the historic Peanut Warehouse, where the couple arrived in Graham’s great-uncle’s classic 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner. The venue exuded a refined charm, decorated with pieces drawn from their family collections, reminiscent of features often found in Southern Living magazine.

A Glimpse into Their Lives

Stephanie and Graham’s love story is filled with happy memories, including countless days spent on the beach and family outings. They both graduated from Coastal Carolina University in 2019, where their bond deepened through shared interests, particularly their enjoyment of college sports. “We love to go to the baseball and football games and tailgate,” recalled Stephanie.

The couple now resides in Conway, where they continue to build their life together. Stephanie recently completed her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of South Carolina and is currently employed by Horry County Schools. Graham works with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), committed to environmental conservation in the area.
