Myrtle Beach, South Carolina – Kenneth R. Wiggins, a longtime resident of Myrtle Beach, passed away at the age of 85 on June 17, 2025. He died while under care at Harbison Shores Memory Care in Columbia, South Carolina.
Kenneth was born on February 20, 1940, in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He began his career working at Elizabeth Iron Works and later at D&D Auto Body. Nearly five decades ago, he relocated to Myrtle Beach, where he joined his father in their family-owned business, Wiggins Construction Co.
Known for his vibrant personality, Kenneth had a passion for motorcycle riding and served as the President of The Rifle Association. He was remembered by friends and family for his love of pranks and his ability to make others laugh.
Kenneth’s death comes as a significant loss, as he is preceded in death by several family members. He is survived by his daughter, Jo Ann Superior, and her fiancé, Robert Moffitt, who reside in New Jersey. He leaves behind four grandchildren—Eternity Gawronski, Genevieve Marie Superior, Robert M. Superior, and Krystal Superior—and six great-grandchildren, including Bobby Johnson, Alayna Lukasewicz, Lilyana Superior, Noah Superior, Isaiah Superior, and Jaxson Superior.
Additionally, Kenneth is survived by two nieces and nephews, Gary and Christopher Wiggins, both of whom he shared a close bond with throughout his life. His family and friends remember him as a spirited individual who made an impact on those around him.
In the context of his family’s history, Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, E. Chester Wiggins; his mother, Eleanor Wiggins; brother, Gary F. Wiggins; first wife, Jo Ann; second wife, Betty; and daughter, Theresa Ann Gawronski, along with his grandson, Timothy Clark.
Kenneth R. Wiggins will be laid to rest at Price-Wiggins Cemetery, located at 153-101 Lake George Dr., Mt. Olive, NC 28365. His contributions to his community and the lives he touched will be remembered by many.
