Myrtle Beach to Host Black’s Tire & Auto Service Charity Golf Tournament

On September 18, 2025, Black’s Tire & Auto Service (BTS) will host its 28th annual charity golf tournament at Myrtle Beach National golf course. Scheduled to tee off at 9 a.m., this event aims to raise funds to support abused, neglected, and abandoned children in North Carolina.

Last year, the tournament successfully raised over $231,000 for charity. Participants can look forward to prizes awarded for the longest drive and the closest to the pin at each hole. Additionally, Mulligan and red tee packs will be available for purchase for $20 each. A 50/50 raffle will also take place during the event, adding to the excitement.

The entry fee for the tournament is set at $95, which includes green fees, a cart, breakfast, and lunch. The tournament will follow a four-man team, captain’s choice format, encouraging camaraderie and friendly competition among teams.

Supporting a Worthy Cause

The proceeds from the charity golf tournament will directly benefit the Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina. Founded in 1954, this organization focuses on providing support and resources for children who have faced trauma due to abuse or neglect. The aim is to help these vulnerable children grow into productive and healthy members of their communities.

W. Crowell Black, the founder of Black’s Tire, was among the original board members of the charity, highlighting BTS’s long-standing commitment to helping children in need. This event not only serves as a fundraising opportunity but also reinforces the company’s dedication to community welfare.
