UConn Men’s Golf Ready to Swing into Action for the 2025-26 Season
Storrs, Connecticut – The anticipation is building as the UConn men’s golf team gears up for their upcoming 2025-26 season. Under the leadership of head coach Dave Pezzino, the squad is set to hit the greens starting early September 2025. With their sights set on an impressive lineup, fans and players alike can look forward to an action-packed golf season!
Fall Schedule Highlights
The fall segment of the season kicks off with the first tournament on September 8th and 9th, 2025, at the prestigious Metropolis Invitational, situated in White Plains, NY. It’s a thrilling start to what promises to be a competitive season!
After a brief pause, the Huskies will head to Navy Academy Golf Club in Annapolis, MD, competing on September 20th and 21st. This tournament will give the players the chance to showcase their skills against some formidable opponents.
Mark your calendars for the 16th Annual UConn Invitational from September 28th to 30th at GreatHorse in Hampden, MA. Not only did the Huskies finish as runner-up last season, but they’ve also clinched victory in this tournament five times in the past, adding more excitement for the returning players and supporters!
The fall season wraps up on a high note with the Moraine Invitational, hosted by Miami (OH) at Moraine Country Club on October 13th and 14th. Following this, the team will take a scenic trip to beautiful Maui for the Ka’anapali Collegiate Invitational, which promises not only competition but also a stunning backdrop.
Spring Back Into Action
The comeback begins in early February 2026, as the Huskies transition into their spring schedule, which consists of six exhilarating tournaments. They will kick off the spring semester with two events in the sunshine state of Florida. First, they’re hitting the links at the Lake Jovita Invitational at Lake Jovita Resort on February 9th and 10th – what a way to shake off the winter blues! Following that, the team moves over to Watersound Club for the Watersound Invitational from February 15th to 17th.
As the spring season progresses, the Huskies will make their way to North Myrtle Beach, SC on March 9th and 10th to compete in the Surf Club Invitational, where they previously took home the title in spring 2024. This piece of history should fuel their drive!
The roster also includes the Bridgestone Collegiate Invitational at Silverado Resort on March 23rd and 24th, followed by the exciting Golfweek Stifel Invitational taking place at True Blue Golf Club in Pawley’s Island, SC from April 6th to 8th. Rounding out the pre-postseason events, the Huskies will compete at The Rutherford Invitational at Penn State Blue Course on April 18th and 19th.
Postseason Bonanza Awaits
The postseason begins with the much-anticipated BIG EAST Championship at Riverton Pointe Golf & Country Club in Bluffton, SC, from May 2nd to 4th. As the season culminates, teams will be vying for their spot in the NCAA Regionals, which are slated for May 18th to 20th. Finally, fans can set their sights on the grand NCAA Championship tournament being hosted at Omni La Costa Champions Course in Carlsbad, CA, from May 29th to June 3rd.
