In a heart-wrenching turn of events, the friendly and vibrant community of Myrtle Beach is saying goodbye to one of its esteemed members, Robert Palmisano, who peacefully passed away on November 6, 2025, at the age of 65. Having battled cancer for nearly three years, his passing has left a deep void in the hearts of many.

A Life Rich in Love and Strength

Born on November 8, 1959, in Belleville, NJ, Robert, affectionately known to friends as Rob, had already fought through cancer once before. His remarkable strength, grace, and unwavering optimism during his second battle with this formidable disease were nothing short of inspiring. Surrounded by his loving family during his final moments, he was able to depart this world with dignity and compassion.

Career Success and Community Impact

Rob built a successful career as a National Sales Director in the office products industry, where he earned immense respect and admiration from both colleagues and clients. His leadership style and integrity made a lasting impact, showing that success doesn’t just come from numbers but from building meaningful relationships in the workplace.

Embracing Life After Retirement

After stepping away from his professional life, Rob found joy on the golf course, where he loved to perfect his swing and catch up with lifelong friends. Those who knew him described moments filled with laughter and genuine connection, reminding everyone around him of the important things in life.

A Family Man

Rob cherished his close circle of friends, considering them family. His gentle spirit, paired with a cheeky sense of humor, brought warmth to every gathering. Despite being described as “stubborn as heck,” those who knew him well would agree he had a heart of pure gold. His ability to light up a room, regardless of the circumstances, was one of his most endearing traits.

His legacy also lives on through his cherished nephews and nieces, such as Billy (and wife Ahlam), TJ, Eleni Jr. (and husband Christopher), Christina, Roula, Giana, Julia, and Gianna. And let’s not forget his great-nieces: Le’Lani, Athena, Sophia, and Penelope, alongside his beloved dog, Shelby, who brought him joy in his everyday life.
