911 Alert Cleared on Campus

Conway, S.C. – Earlier today, the Coastal Carolina University had issued an all-clear alert after a 911 call had prompted an immediate response from the local law enforcement. The campus police had been alerted to a situation at the Smith Science building. Following investigations conducted by the concerned authorities, an “\all clear\” was officially issued.

Details about the Call

A 911 call had put the university on high alert prompting an immediate police response at the science building. The nature of the emergency call, however, has not been disclosed. Responding units from the local police department performed a thorough investigation following the call.

Normal Operations Resume

Campus operations, which were briefly disrupted during the course of the investigation, have resumed to their normal state. Staff and students were swiftly informed about the lift on the alert, allowing studies and other operational duties to proceed uninterrupted. The university has also reached out to remind everyone on campus of the importance of being aware and consistently vigilant to maintain campus security.
