Myrtle Beach Gears Up for the 2024 General Hackler Championship
Myrtle Beach, SC – The Coastal Carolina University men’s golf team is set to host the annual General Hackler Championship presented by Carolina Wealth Advisors on March 18-20 at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The three-day tournament will showcase 14 teams competing over 18 holes each day, starting on Monday and concluding on Wednesday with tee-off times starting at 8 a.m. ET.
Top Contenders
Among the field are four past team champions, including defending champions East Tennessee State, who have claimed the title three times. Joining them are North Florida, also three-time winners, Coastal Carolina, Kent State, and Arkansas. The field is rounded out by Charleston Southern, College of Charleston, Chattanooga, Furman, Liberty, Little Rock, Louisville, San Francisco, UNC Wilmington, and Western Carolina.
Notable inclusions in the lineup are nationally-ranked teams such as East Tennessee State (16) and North Florida (24), with Chattanooga and Louisville receiving votes in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek DI poll.
Chanticleers in Action
Representing the Chants will be Seth Taylor, Jack Lee, Garrett Cooper, Owen Kim, and Trey Crenshaw, with Ludvig Eriksson, Trace McDonald, and Connor Bennink playing as individuals. Tee times are scheduled for an 8 a.m. start, with players teeing off from both the first and tenth holes.
