The storm is forecasted to pass near or even south of Hawaii Island over the coming weekend. • Hurricane warning: This is in effect for Hawaiian offshore waters beyond 40 nautical miles out to 240 nautical miles inclusive of the portion of Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument east of French Frigate Shoals.

MAUI

• Wind advisory: This advisory is in effect from 6 a.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday. The northeastern winds are expected to range from 30 to 40 mph with potential local gusts over 50 mph.
• Red flag warning: This is in effect from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday for leeward areas.

OAHU

• Wind advisory: Also in effect from 6 a.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday. Expect northeastern winds ranging from 30 to 40 mph with local gusts over 50 mph.
• Red flag warning: In effect from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday for leeward areas.

KAUAI

• Wind advisory: This advisory is in effect from 6 a.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday. Similar to the other islands, expect northeast winds of 30 to 40 mph with the possibility of local gusts exceeding 50 mph.
• Red flag warning: This warning is in effect from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday for leeward areas.
