Exciting Growth for Conway: Auberon Woods Development Takes Shape
Conway is buzzing with news of a major new project that’s set to change the landscape of our beloved city! A brand new community, Auberon Woods, is planting its roots along a sprawling 758-acre tract of land and plans to introduce over 1,100 homes to the area by 2027. Now that’s some serious growth to get excited about!
What is Auberon Woods?
Auberon Woods isn’t just about the homes either. This emerging neighborhood will feature two awesome amenities that are sure to be a hit with residents. The first phase of development kicked off in 2023, with real work already in progress on 206 home developments. Plus, another 194 single-family homes are set to wrap up by 2025, making it all come together pretty quickly.
Home Options Galore!
So what can future homeowners expect in terms of layouts? The builder, D.R. Horton, has rolled out three appealing floor plans to choose from:
- 1,618 square feet – This cozy gem has three bedrooms, two baths, all on one level!
- 1,774 square feet – For those needing a little more room, this option boasts four bedrooms and two baths, also in a single-story design.
- 2,271 square feet – Looking for space? This two-story beauty offers four bedrooms and 2.5 baths!
Prices for these homes will range from $304,000 to $388,000, making it possible for many to find their dream digs in Conway. The location on South Carolina Highway 90 near Teddy Bear Circle is pretty convenient too!
Not Just Auberon Woods – More Homes Coming!
In addition to Auberon Woods, Conway is heating up with several other exciting developments. One of the most noteworthy is Warden Station, which is set to add a staggering 3,300 housing units including single-family homes, townhomes, and multi-family units. This project is located near Pitch Landing Road and Harper Road by Highway 701 South and was unanimously approved by the City of Conway in January 2024. Talk about making waves!
Not to stop there, smaller projects are also popping up like delicious spring flowers. DRB Homes is treating the Longs area to more than 70 homes in the active adult community of Chesnut Farms, specifically aimed at those aged 55 and older. There’s also a plan in the works to add 100 single-family homes along Poplar Church Road. It seems everyone wants a piece of Conway!
Why All the Buzz?
So why all this rapid development? Well, the numbers tell it all! Conway has been highlighted as the seventh fastest-growing city in South Carolina. Recent figures show that our local metro area, including Myrtle Beach, Conway, and North Myrtle Beach, experienced some of the largest population gains in 2023. It’s clear – people are flocking to our beautiful coast!
It’s certainly an exciting time to be in Conway with so many changes on the horizon. Whether you’re a long-time local or considering a move here, the growth means new neighbors, fresh opportunities, and an even brighter future. Keep your eyes peeled; Conway is just getting started!
