Myrtle Beach Sees Exciting New Developments!
In a delightful turn of events, our charming Myrtle Beach is about to get even more exciting! On Thursday, the Community Appearance Board gave the thumbs up for two major projects that are sure to enhance our local vibe and keep the good times rolling.
Pickleball, Anyone?
First up is the highly anticipated Tidal Creek Picklehouse project, which will be sprouting up at 1051 Shine Avenue in our beloved The Market Common. If you’re a fan of pickleball or just love soaking up the sun, this one’s for you! The plans for the Picklehouse include a bunch of fun enhancements, like outdoor seating perfect for grabbing a bite after a round of pickleball, and yes, they are even throwing in some pickleball courts with a shelter. That means you can play your favorite game, rain or shine!
Along with that, there will be fencing, ample parking, and lovely landscaping to make it all feel nice and inviting. Plus, a neat little waste management area with a dumpster enclosure to keep everything tidy. It really sounds like a fun addition to our community!
More Options for Oceanfront Fun
But wait, there’s more! The board also granted permits for the Phase II of the Holiday Inn Club Vacation project, conveniently located near the bustling corner of Springmaid and South Ocean Boulevards. This massive undertaking will include a new high-rise building that will stretch over 313,000 square feet. Can you imagine the views from up there?
This project isn’t just about size; it will also incorporate welcoming landscaping and parking solutions, ensuring that visitors will have a comfortable experience while soaking up the sun and enjoying our beautiful coastline.
Keeping Up with Changes
On a slightly different note, one project that was on the horizon—the Pink House Square Townhomes planned for 4221 N. Kings Highway—has hit a little snag. The proposal, which included four six-unit buildings and one eight-unit building, was withdrawn by the staff. This would have added more housing options in our city, along with the necessary parking, landscaping, and a dumpster area to keep things looking fresh.
