Surfside Beach Unveils Mulligan’s Lagoon: A New Mini Golf Paradise for Families

Surfside Beach Welcomes a New Mini Golf Adventure: Mulligan’s Lagoon!

Surfside Beach has just lit up with excitement as the much-anticipated mini golf course has officially opened its doors to the public! Known as Mulligan’s Lagoon, this vibrant, surfer-themed course is hard to miss, especially with a gigantic yellow airplane perched proudly amidst its colorful surroundings. If you’re a fan of putt-putt and fun, this new spot is ready to become your go-to getaway!

What’s the Buzz About Mulligan’s Lagoon?

Located at 735 Highway 17 S, Mulligan’s Lagoon features a fantastic 18-hole course that’s perfect for families, friends, and anyone looking to enjoy some friendly competition. The course is designed to transport you to a tropical paradise with its tiki torches, palm trees swaying in the breeze, and seashell-studded obstacles that provide unique challenges. This new addition aims to fill the gap left by the recently closed Wild Water and Wheels water park, which left many families longing for entertainment options in the area.

More Than Just Mini Golf!

But that’s not all—Mulligan’s Lagoon is more than just a place to practice your putting skills. Inside, you’ll find a lively arcade packed with games that everyone can enjoy. And what’s a day of fun without some delicious pizza? That’s right! There’s a pizza parlor on-site, ensuring that you can refuel and keep the good times rolling.

The Force Behind Mulligan’s Lagoon

Mulligan’s Lagoon is the second location for the Professor Hacker’s group, a company that’s been rocking the amusement business for over 30 years. The original site is nestled in Daytona Beach, Florida, and the Surfside location joins a family of mini golf courses they operate in the North Myrtle Beach area. If you’ve been to Professor Hacker’s Lost Treasure Golf, Dinosaur Adventure Golf, or Mayday Golf, you already know you’re in for a treat with Duncan’s Lagoon!

According to Chris Bethea, who manages the group, this new mini golf course was much-needed. With the water park’s closure last year, Bethea noticed there was a significant void in family-friendly entertainment. “Surfside’s motto is ‘The family beach,’ and we’re all about families,” he noted. His passion for creating smiles and fun experiences shines through every planning phase of the new course.

A Local’s Playground

For those who call Myrtle Beach home, Mulligan’s Lagoon is just a stone’s throw away, making it an awesome addition for weekend outings and birthday parties alike. Whether you’re a seasoned putt-putt pro or a curious newbie, there’s something for everyone at Mulligan’s Lagoon. You can gather up the kids, friends, or even plan a great date night under the twinkling tiki torches!

Come Join the Fun!

So, gather your crew and head on over to Surfside Beach’s new gem! With its lively atmosphere, tasty treats, and a fun-filled 18 holes, you’re guaranteed to have a blast at Mulligan’s Lagoon. It’s time to dust off those clubs, channel your inner golf pro, and make some unforgettable memories on the green!
