News Summary

The Florida Gulf Coast University men’s golf team announces an action-packed schedule for the 2025-26 season, featuring 11 tournaments including the NCAA Championship. Highlights include the West Bay Collegiate hosted in Estero, along with competitions in Myrtle Beach and Hawaii, setting the stage for a memorable season of collegiate golf.

Exciting Times Ahead for FGCU Men’s Golf Team!

In sunny Estero, Florida, there’s a buzz of excitement in the air for golf enthusiasts! The Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) men’s golf team is gearing up for an action-packed 2025-26 season, and they’ve just unveiled a schedule that’s nothing short of thrilling. With a total of 11 tournaments on the calendar, including a spectacular NCAA Championship appearance, this season promises to be one for the books!

A Home Turf Advantage!

One of the highlights of the schedule is the West Bay Collegiate, which FGCU will proudly host on October 6-7 at the beautiful West Bay Club right in Estero. This tournament not only allows fans to cheer on their home team, but it also provides the players with a fantastic opportunity to show off their skills on familiar ground. It’s a chance to hit the greens and take some swings in front of local supporters!

The Adventure Begins!

The fall schedule kicks off with a trip to the picturesque Myrtle Beach from September 7-9 for the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate. There, the Eagles will face off against strong competitors in a fun and competitive atmosphere hosted by Coastal Carolina. Following that, they will travel to Benton Harbor, Michigan on September 28-29 for the Jim Delapa Intercollegiate. The excitement continues with the aforementioned West Bay Collegiate and then a stop at the Quail Valley Intercollegiate in Vero Beach on October 19-20.

To wrap up the fall season in style, the Eagles will head to the gorgeous shores of Lahaina, Hawaii for the renowned Kaanapali Classic Intercollegiate. This tropical getaway will surely be a thrilling experience not just for the players but also for their dedicated fans who can follow their journey from afar.

A Spring to Remember!

As we turn the page to the spring season, the action ramps up. The Eagles will resume play on February 2-3 at the Sea Best Invitational, hosted by Jacksonville University in Atlantic Beach. They’ll continue their in-state adventures at the Gators Invitational on February 14-15 in Gainesville, which is set to be a thrilling encounter hosted by the University of Florida. These competitions will be a crucial part of their preparation for the postseason!

In March, the Eagles plan to return to the Johnnie-O Invitational in Sea Island, Georgia, following that with the General Hackler Championship in Myrtle Beach, and then the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate in South Carolina. Each event presents a fresh challenge and an opportunity for the team to shine!

Looking Forward to the Big Stage!

As the regular season wraps up, the final showdown will be held at the Gile-Spratley Collegiate in Richmond, Virginia from April 6-7. This will be an important lead-up to the postseason, with big ambitions in mind!

The spotlight will ultimately shine brightest at the 2026 ASUN Championship, set against the backdrop of Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Georgia, starting April 21, 2026. This championship is not just a tournament; it’s a chance for FGCU to demonstrate their growth and determination after successfully earning an at-large bid into the NCAA Championship last year!

A Season Full of Potential!

With the bulk of last year’s roster returning, the Eagles are optimistic for another successful season. They’ll be aiming to build on their previous steady performance while making a splash in the collegiate golf scene. It’s safe to say that the 2025-26 schedule is shaping up to spark excitement among players and fans alike, with plenty of chances to support the FGCU Eagles. So, gear up for an exhilarating ride ahead, and let’s hope for a memorable season full of birdies and trophies!
