Those who followed the tournament saw the Seminoles play incredibly well, with round scores stacked at 276, 277, and 278. Their hard work paid off, especially considering they outperformed some of the best teams in the nation. In fact, they surpassed highly-ranked competitors such as No. 10 Ole Miss, which took fifth place, and No. 11 Alabama, which finished in eighth place overall. The Watersound Invitational team title claimed by No. 8 Arkansas dazzled with a final score of 19-under par (821), just edging out No. 3 Vanderbilt, who came in as the runner-up at 18-under par (822). Third place went to TCU, finishing with a strong 10-under par (830).

Leading the Seminole charge was star player Tyler Weaver, who tied for fourth place among individuals. Weaver had an impressive tournament, wrapping up with a sensational 8-under par (202). His fantastic performance featured rounds of 67, 70, and a breathtaking bogey-free 65 in the final round. This final round was particularly memorable, as it matched his career-low score, showcasing five thrilling birdies, three of which arrived gracefully on the back nine.
