The violent incident occurred around 9:30 PM near Watson Avenue, approximately 20 miles northeast of Myrtle Beach, drawing significant attention and emergency response from law enforcement and medical teams.

At least 11 individuals were transported to local hospitals, while additional victims are reported to have sought medical attention through private vehicles after the shooting. Authorities have not disclosed the conditions of those injured nor provided details on how they sustained their injuries during the incident.

In the immediate aftermath, Horry County Police characterized the shooting as an isolated incident, assuring the public that there was no ongoing threat to the community about 90 minutes following the event. Despite this assurance, police have yet to release any information regarding potential suspects or motives connected to the shooting, raising concerns among local residents.

Video footage from the scene captured a large-scale emergency response, with multiple police vehicles and ambulances arriving to assist. Witnesses reported seeing an extensive police presence, with at least 50 officers on-site as the investigation unfolded. The area around the marina and docks has been closed off as investigators continue to probe the circumstances surrounding the incident.

In a separate event linked to the chaos, a North Myrtle Beach police officer accidentally shot himself in the leg while responding to the shooting. Fortunately, the officer is reported to be in stable condition and is receiving medical care.
