A Dream Come True for Sonya Martin
The star of the show, Sonya Martin, finally got to unveil her passion project that she’s been dreaming about for years. This isn’t just a boutique; it’s a slice of Sonya’s heart! With the help of local leaders and Mayor Brenda Bethune, the community gathered around to celebrate this momentous occasion at the sweet spot on North Kings Highway.
Sonya, who’s been a fashion lover all her life, spent a whopping eight months bringing this vision to life. “Now that the hard work of getting open is behind me, I can just move forward with servicing my customers, buying inventory, and focusing on that,” she beamed with pride.
From Dreams to Reality
It’s incredible to think that this store is the realization of a childhood dream for Sonya. Coming out of college, she got her start working at a boutique, and that sparked her desire to one day become an entrepreneur. After years in the workforce, it was during her retirement that she decided to take the plunge and make it happen. “If I can do it, anybody can do it,” she encouraged aspiring business owners to chase their dreams, too.
