Excitement Builds for the 2025 Myrtle Beach Classic
Myrtle Beach is gearing up for another round of thrilling golf action as the Myrtle Beach Classic returns for its second year! From May 8 through May 11, the picturesque Dunes Golf & Beach Club will play host to professional golfers as they navigate a challenging 72 holes, all while the crowd cheers them on. It was a fantastic event last year, and it looks like 2025 promises to shine even brighter!
Volunteers Make the Magic Happen
One of the highlights of the tournament is the incredible number of local volunteers stepping up to help out. These dedicated individuals played an essential role last year by helping to maintain the tournament’s positive atmosphere, which undoubtedly enhances the experience for players and spectators alike. They took on a variety of tasks, from hushing the crowd to ensure players could focus, to being walking scorers and assisting with other important responsibilities.
The call is out for volunteers once again for the 2025 Myrtle Beach Classic! Organizers are thrilled to announce that they are now accepting both new and returning volunteers. If you were a part of the action in 2024, you can register to return starting on January 15, 2025. For those who want to jump in for the first time, registration options open up on February 5, 2025.
Volunteer Opportunities Await
With various positions available, there’s something for everyone looking to join in on the fun. Volunteers can step into several different roles, including:
- Gallery Managers – Keep the crowd quiet and help direct foot traffic.
- Walking Scorers – Keep track of the players’ scores on the go.
- Standard Bearers – Hold up scoring signs during the match.
- Shot Locators – Track where the players’ shots land on the course.
And yes, since excitement is contagious, the tournament will also welcome youth volunteers aged between 13 and 18, making it a family affair for this prestigious event!
What to Expect as a Volunteer
So, what’s in it for the volunteers? Well, first things first, participants will need to pay a small fee for the official gear they’ll be wearing during the tournament. This includes a stylish polo shirt and hat to maintain a professional look as they support the event. Additionally, volunteers are expected to commit to at least 18 hours during the tournament period, ensuring that everyone plays a crucial role in the overall success of the event.
When it comes to attire, volunteers are asked to don their own grey pants or shorts to match the tournament’s vibe. It’s an opportunity not to be missed, as each volunteer plays a key part in creating a memorable experience for everyone involved!
Save the Date!
Mark your calendars for the 2025 Myrtle Beach Classic! With stunning coastal views, top-tier professional golfers, and a community of dedicated volunteers, this event is shaping up to be a must-see experience. Whether you’re planning to spectate or jump in as a volunteer, you won’t want to miss out on the action in Myrtle Beach this coming May!
