Family Fun Awaits at Myrtle Beach’s Kingston Resorts: A Mini Golf and Spa Adventure
When it comes to planning a getaway filled with fun and relaxation, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina has a lot to offer! Set beneath picturesque palm trees and accompanied by the soothing sounds of an artificial waterfall, Aloha Minigolf was the perfect spot to kick off an exciting day. After wandering around the stunning local attractions, I couldn’t resist challenging my dad to a round of mini golf as the sun set, wrapping up a fantastic day in this vibrant seaside gem.
Mini Golf Heaven: The Capital of Fun
Did you know Myrtle Beach is often referred to as the “Mini Golf Capital of the World?” With over 30 mini-golf courses to choose from, there’s no shortage of adventure for families looking to tee off on their vacation. It’s a great bonding experience, and with so many creatively themed courses, it feels like stepping into an immersive world of fun.
Staying at Kingston Resorts
During my stay, I checked into the luxurious Kingston Resorts, which features a variety of accommodations, including Hilton and Embassy Suites, condos, and vacation rentals. The perfect spot for families! Plus, there’s a complimentary resort shuttle to whisk you away to nearby mini golf courses like Aloha and Rainbow Falls Golf, not to mention local attractions like the popular Tanger Outlets—all within a two-mile radius.
At the Embassy Suites, I was treated to a spacious two-room suite with an ocean view, starting at just $290 per night. Each suite comes equipped with a cozy living room featuring a kitchenette, which includes a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker—perfect for quick bites before heading out for the day!
Dining Delights and Poolside Relaxation
I couldn’t start my day without indulging in a hearty breakfast at the Coastal Bar and Grill. Fresh fruit, yogurt, fluffy French toast, crispy bacon, and scrumptious eggs were all waiting to fuel our adventures. After breakfast, the options for relaxation were abundant. The resort boasts three distinct pools, including a zero-entry pool for all ages, a slide pool that features two fun slides, and a splash zone for the little ones. And for the ultimate in relaxation, you can reserve a poolside cabana that accommodates up to eight adults—complete with shaded couches, loungers, snacks, and refreshments!
A Spa Day to Remember
A highlight of my trip was a visit to Spa 33 where I enjoyed a signature massage. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, with herbal teas and healthy snacks available to enhance my rejuvenation experience. Afterward, winding down at the Coastal Bar and Grill during the evening’s complimentary reception, featuring light bites and free drinks, made for a lovely ending to a busy day.
Exploring Local Dining and Fun Activities
When night fell, the nearby oceanfront dining options beckoned! I explored the Whet Whistle at Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort for unique beachfront dining, or you could opt for Black Drum, which serves Carolina-inspired dishes and local brews, including mouthwatering pulled pork and fried oysters. These are spots you won’t want to miss!
Dolphin Cruises and Boardwalk Adventures
One of the most memorable experiences was an off-site dolphin cruise. As we glided through the waters, we were delighted to spot a large pod of dolphins playing nearby. It was a magical moment! After the cruise, a visit to the boardwalk was essential for picking up souvenirs, slurping smoothies, and checking out the iconic Gay Dolphin Gift Cove—perfect for wrapping our adventure.
