Bill Murray made a surprise appearance and delighted fans with his signature humor, while Vanna White, a Myrtle Beach native, showcased her local roots by participating in the tournament. Kevin Costner arrived by helicopter, humorously recounting his first impression of Myrtle Beach after landing in a yard and noting the friendliness of the locals.

The tournament is set to run from Thursday to Sunday, with nightly concerts scheduled after each round of play to enhance the overall experience. Golf fans can expect exciting competition as the field includes 132 players, including last year’s champion Chris Gotterup and South Carolina’s local favorite, Nathan Franks. This marks the second year of the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic, co-sponsored by Denver-based non-commercial aviation company ONEflight. The total purse for the tournament amounts to $4 million, with the winner earning 300 FedEx Cup points, a two-year exemption on the PGA Tour, and an invitation to the subsequent PGA Championship for those not already qualified.

The tournament will officially kick off with golfers teeing off from the 1st and 10th tees at 6:50 a.m. on Thursday and Friday, with a target start time of 7 a.m. for the weekend. Gates will open at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday through Friday, and at 7 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, allowing fans ample time to arrive and enjoy the day’s festivities.

Ticket Information and Attendance Guidelines

Digital tickets can be purchased via Ticketmaster, with the requirement that all tickets be accessed digitally—printed confirmations will not be accepted. Children aged 15 and under can enter for free with a paying adult. Additionally, local first responders and military personnel may obtain two free tickets for the practice round on Wednesday and access discounted tickets for the main tournament days.

Parking is available for $20 per day in the designated lot, including online payment options and shuttle service to the venue. Attendees should note that certain restrictions apply according to PGA guidelines, with a prohibition on bags larger than 6″x6″, clear bags more than 12″x6″x12″, glass bottles, pets, and selfie sticks. While cellphones are permitted for photos and videos, they must remain on vibrate, with flash photography specifically banned.
