Myrtle Beach Police Investigating Strange Encounters

Residents Report Unusual Interactions at Home

In a series of incidents that are considered out of the ordinary, residents of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina have reported bizarre confrontations at their front doors. As per reports, these alarming encounters involve unfamiliar individuals visiting homes under peculiar circumstances. Local authorities have now started probing these strange episodes.

Unsettling Experiences

Among the affected locals, Max Alon shared his bewildering experience of an unexpected visit to his home late Wednesday night. Alon explained that an unknown couple knocked at his door, stating that the woman had misplaced her phone at the beach, and its location had supposedly been traced back to Alon’s residence.

Expressing his unease over the incident, Alon stated, “It doesn’t seem like something is normal. I wanted to find out if somebody else experienced the same thing.” He noted suspicious behavior on their part as it seemed they were observing his movements. The couple knocked mere minutes after Alon returned home, a detail he found deeply unsettling.

No Prior Visit to the Beach

Alon did, however, point out that he had not been to the beach in over a week. With growing anxiety, he shut the door and returned to the safety of his house. While the incident raised several questions and made him uncomfortable, Alon captured the whole situation through a Ring Doorbell camera and posted it on social media which revealed that he was not alone in having such a bizarre experience.

Incidents Spark Fear

On finding out that numerous other Grand Strand residents had similar stories to tell, Alon expressed his relief that the situation hadn’t escalated but voiced his concern, “I have a two-year-old baby, the boy was not home. But, I was lucky this time, next time I will not open the door.”

Police Involvement

The Myrtle Beach Police Department confirmed receiving several complaints from residents describing similar occurrences. While authorities are yet to define these encounters, they acknowledged the abnormality of the situations and urged the local community to stay vigilant.

The increasing frequency of these occurrences has placed increased pressure on the police department to ensure the safety of the local community. As this investigation proceeds, residents are advised to remain safe and keep the authorities informed about such incidents.
