Myrtle Beach Police Respond to Late-Night Shooting

Hey Myrtle Beach! It looks like we’ve had a bit of an eventful night recently. Just when you thought it was all sunshine and sandcastles, police were called out to the 1700 block of South Kings Highway late Thursday night due to reports of a shooting. Thankfully, it seems like everyone is safe as there were no injuries reported.

What Happened?

So, here’s the scoop: around 11:40 PM, our local police got the call about the shooting and rushed to the scene. The neighborhood might have felt a little tense with all the excitement, but officers were quick to take charge of the situation. After piecing together what went down, they managed to locate the suspect just a few blocks away at the 100 block of North Ocean Boulevard. Before too long, the suspect was in custody, and the worry of anyone getting hurt was alleviated.

Increased Police Presence

In light of this incident, locals can expect to see an increased law enforcement presence in the area while they continue their investigation. This is just a precaution, so if you’ve been enjoying your late-night walks or drives, know that the police are keeping a vigilant eye on things to keep our community safe.
