The women’s team truly stole the spotlight, racking up 156 points over the course of 11 events. Their dominance was highlighted by five event wins, marking an exceptional team effort. Cynteria James took home the gold in the women’s 100-meter dash, blazing across the finish line with a time of 11.31 seconds. Meanwhile, JaMeesia Ford also triumphed, winning the 400-meter dash in a speedy 51.09 seconds.
Freshman sensation Joslyn Hamilton emerged as a standout performer, achieving personal bests in two events. Theo Mudzengerere was the lone individual winner for the men, dominating the triple jump with a season-best leap of 16.07 meters, a distance that currently ranks third in the East Region.
The Gamecock men proved their prowess in the relays as well, clinching victory in the 4×100 meter relay with a swift time of 39.88 seconds. Furthermore, they wrapped up the meet with a strong performance in the 4×400 meter relay, comprising Wrice, Greenhow, Richardson Salazar, and Crumpton, finishing first at 3:06.48, which stands as the third-fastest for the Gamecocks this season.

Among the individual performances for the men’s team, Antwan Hughes Jr. finished 5th in the 100 meters with a time of 10.68 seconds, while David Warmington secured second place in the 110-meter hurdles at 14.17 seconds. Josue Richardson Salazar also performed well, finishing second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 51.94 seconds.
