Myrtle Beach, SC – A shocking crime scene unfolded in the quiet corner of a Myrtle Beach-area apartment when a man was attacked and stabbed while innocently sitting on his couch. The suspect has been identified as Nikolay Thomas Palmer who now faces charges of attempted murder.

The shocking incident occurred on 19th August, on Riverwalk Drive. The victim reported to the local authorities that he was stabbed from behind while sitting on his couch. Speaking to HERE News Network, the victim recounted in graphic detail how he was blindsided and attacked with a large knife. After the sudden onslaught, the victim managed to escape and sought refuge in a neighboring residence where he called 911.

On the Run

Upon receiving the distress call, officers swung into immediate action and conducted a sweep of the victim’s apartment. According to police reports, it was clarified that the suspect had fled the scene and was not in the vicinity. Further inquiries in the neighborhood led to a resident who, having been awakened by the victim’s request for help, reported that she did not witness any errant behavior or hear an altercation from the victim’s residence. The resident attested that Palmer never attempted to enter her residence.

Charges and Implications

Nikolay Thomas Palmer has been apprehended and was charged with attempted murder. The victim, who was rushed to a local hospital, is receiving treatment for his injuries, the extent of which is yet to be disclosed. Online records reviewed by HERE News Network indicate that Palmer remains incarcerated.
