Surfside Beach Mayor Takes to the Skies to Promote Local Businesses

Surfside Beach, SC

In a surprising and adventurous move, Surfside Beach Mayor Robert Krouse recently took to the waters and the skies to boost awareness about the local businesses in his community. Krouse participated in a parasailing adventure on Wednesday morning at 4th Avenue South, demonstrating a thrilling way to both enjoy the town and support its businesses.

The Mayor’s Flight

Speaking to HERE News Network, Krouse said, “We get caught up in the day-to-day. Get up and have some fun. Hit the beach and do something a little bit different every once in a while. Parasailing is great.” He further charmed the townsfolk by sharing his unique experience of this exciting activity which he described as one of the “coolest” activities in the town.

Addressing his experience, he conveyed, “It’s fun, it’s kind of a neat combination of a little bit of thrill when you get up in the air but then it’s just so calm and relaxing. The views you get from up there are outstanding.”

Supporting Local Businesses

His flamboyant way of promoting local tourism and businesses has garnered attention. Krouse shared his belief in the value of experiencing first-hand the attractions Surfside Beach offers to its tourists and locals alike.

“We have people who come here and spend thousands of dollars for a week to enjoy what we have every day,” said Krouse. He urged locals and tourists alike to take advantage of these recreational services offered by local businesses like Shoreline Watersports.

A Unique Marketing Initiative

This unusual marketing initiative by Krouse is part of an effort to uplift the town’s local businesses that offer parasailing adventures amongst other watersport activities. By taking to the skies, he hopes to inspire both residents and tourists to experience the unique thrill of parasailing and thereby support these local businesses.

His wish is not only for the people to partake in this fun activity but also to recognize and appreciate the beauty and unique offerings of the town they live in or are visiting. Such endeavors give a significant boost to local businesses, particularly in these challenging times when every bit of support is crucial.
