Chef competition cooking challenge.

New season of national TV show with Myrtle Beach area chefs to air soon. How to watch

“Chef Swap at the Beach,” featuring 14 chefs from the Myrtle Beach area, airs its first episode on March 2 and will run episodes weekly through mid-April. New 30-minute episodes will air at 7 p.m. EST on Saturday nights on The Cooking Channel and stream on GoUSA TV, according to media contact Kimberly Miles. You can also watch episodes at chefswap.com after they have aired.

Competition Format

The show focuses on 14 chefs at prominent Myrtle Beach area restaurants who switch kitchens to cook a winning meal. The inaugural episode features Gabe Hernandez from Fiesta Mexicana switching with Jonathan Glass from Nonna’s Taste of Italy. For the episode, each chef has 60 minutes to cook a meal for the judges in the new kitchen. The chefs are able to bring one ingredient with them. They will then be judged and a winner will be chosen. Jess Sagun of Winna’s Kitchen won the competition in 2022.

Host and Judges

The host is Mason Zeglen, the owner of Milk and Honey in Surfside Beach. He has won “Guy’s Grocery Games” on The Food Network twice and won the national Big Brunch competition. Judges will be Johanna Wilson Jones, a local food writer, and Dylan Foster, a local cooking class instructor.
