Exciting News from Goose Creek: All-Stars Set for Touchstone Energy Bowl

Goose Creek is buzzing with excitement as senior defensive lineman Braedyn Reeves from Goose Creek High School has been selected to play in the annual Touchstone Energy Bowl all-star game. This fantastic event is all set to take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, and it all kicks off at noon. What a great way to showcase the talent coming out of our local schools!

Joining the All-Star Roster

Reeves isn’t going to be alone on the field! He’s joined by two exceptional players representing the Berkeley County School District: Michael Bennett, a defensive lineman from Cross High School, and CJ Falotico, a talented kicker/punter from Philip Simmons High School. Together, these three athletes will contribute to a strong South team made up of a total of 44 senior players. They’ll be competing against the North all-stars, bringing regional pride to the forefront!

A Look at the Stats

How are they doing this season? Well, Bennett is making serious waves over at Cross High with an impressive 38 total tackles through just five games. Falotico isn’t far behind, having made five field goals and 20 extra points, all while averaging a solid 35 yards per punt. And don’t forget about Reeves, who not only records 20 total tackles but also adds some versatility by taking on the role of tight end on the offensive side. Talk about talent!

More Local Talent on the South Roster

Excitingly, the South roster also includes nine other players from the Charleston area. It’s a testament to the rich talent pool we have right here, and we can’t wait to see how they all perform in such a competitive environment.

Berkeley High School’s Volleyball Victories

Berkeley girls volleyball team recently enjoyed a fantastic match where they swept Stratford with scores of 25-22, 25-17, and 26-24 on September 23. This win improved their record to 2-2 in region matches, proving they are a force to be reckoned with on the court!

Hanahan Has a Big Win Too

Not to be outshined, Hanahan’s girls volleyball team also took home a win against Battery Creek, scoring 25-6, 25-3, 25-18. Just like Berkeley, this win puts them at 2-2 in their region. Both teams are heating up in what promises to be a thrilling season.

Golf Updates: Strong Performances

In the golf arena, Berkeley’s Jenna Kate Hoffman shone bright by finishing fourth at the Gamecock Invitational, carding a solid 76. Meanwhile, Stratford’s girls golf team defeated Pinewood Prep, posting a score of 193-239. Megan Leland led the Knights with an impressive 45, showcasing the depth of talent in our local teams!
