Surfside Beach is set to mark the end of summer with its annual End of Summer Fireworks Festival on September 6. The festivities will commence at 5 p.m. at the Surfside Beach Fishing Pier, located at 11 South Ocean Boulevard.
The event, which saw approximately 1,000 attendees in its inaugural year, aims to foster community spirit. Tabitha Mull, the communications and event manager, highlighted the camaraderie among participants as a key factor in the strong turnout. The festival will feature live music from Jennifer & South Bound Band, with Louie serving as DJ. Attendees can also explore various arts and crafts vendors and enjoy offerings from food trucks such as Lobster Dogs, Lemons & Dough, and Hurricane’s Food Truck, which will sell hamburgers, hot dogs, and fish.
For families, a dedicated Kids’ Zone will include a Foam Zone, face painting, and bouncy houses. A hula show is also planned, ensuring entertainment for all ages. Free shuttle service, provided by Tito’s Trolly, will be available from area parking lots to the festival grounds between 5 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The fireworks display is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. While pier seating will not be available, guests are encouraged to bring chairs for seating on the beach.
