Greens: Champion Bermuda

Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed The Dunes Club in 1949. Host of the 2024 Myrtle Beach Classic on the PGA Tour, six Senior PGA Tour Championships, and the Women's U.S. Open. Ranked #1 in Myrtle Beach and consistently in the top three courses in South Carolina.

Mike Strantz's first solo design, opened 1994 on a former rice plantation in Pawleys Island. Consistently ranked in Golf Digest's Top 100 You Can Play. The oak-lined driveway to the clubhouse is one of the most photographed entrances in American golf.

Mike Strantz's second Pawleys Island design, opened 1998, just up the road from Caledonia. Wider fairways, larger greens, and more dramatic waste-area bunkering than Caledonia. Considered by many Myrtle Beach regulars to be the tougher of the two Strantz designs.

Tom Fazio designed TPC Myrtle Beach with input from Lanny Wadkins. Dustin Johnson's home course during his amateur and early pro years. Host of the Senior PGA Tour Championship. Championship-length course with dramatic elevation changes rare on the Grand Strand.

Ken Tomlinson design opened 1990. Eight holes play along the Intracoastal Waterway and Cherry Grove — one of the few Grand Strand courses with true coastal ocean views. Consistently ranked among the top public courses in the Southeast.

Roger Rulewich (a longtime RTJ Sr. associate) designed the Resort Course at Grande Dunes. Championship layout stretching over 7,600 yards from the back tees, with commanding views of the Intracoastal Waterway. The 14th hole, on a bluff 80 feet above the Intracoastal, is one of the most photographed shots in Myrtle Beach.

One of four courses at Barefoot Resort (Love, Fazio, Norman, Dye). Davis Love III designed his course around simulated Southern plantation ruins as recurring features. The four-course complex is the largest single-owner golf resort on the Grand Strand.

Arnold Palmer's 1996 redesign of the original Myrtle Beach National course. Famous for 'The Gambler,' the par-5 6th hole with an island fairway — a classic risk/reward that gives every group a story to tell.

'The Granddaddy of Myrtle Beach golf.' Opened 1927 as the first course on the Grand Strand. Robert White (co-founder of the PGA of America) designed the original layout; Craig Schreiner led a full 2009 redesign that preserved the historic character while modernizing playability. Sports Illustrated was reportedly founded at a Pine Lakes gathering.

Jack Nicklaus signature design opened 1988 on a former Pawleys Island rice plantation. Six holes play along the tidal marsh. The par-3 13th over the marsh is one of the most photographed one-shotters on the Grand Strand.
