New Firefighter Joins Newtown Fire Rescue
Anthony Vaccaro was sworn in as Newtown Fire Rescue’s newest career firefighter/EMT during a ceremonial swearing-in ceremony held Wednesday night in Newtown Township. District Judge Michael Petrucci administered the oath during a meeting of the township’s board of supervisors.
Vaccaro began his career as a volunteer firefighter before joining the City of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Fire Department. He has returned to Pennsylvania to be closer to his family.

This staffing level enables the company to provide full-time service to the borough and the township 12 hours a day, seven days a week.
