Myrtle Beach, S.C. — Coastal Carolina mens golf is closing its fall season Oct. 12-14 at The Bryson Invitational on the Blue Monster Course at Trump National Doral in Miami, a final tune-up after opening the year with a home-area title.
The Chanticleers lineup features Lucas Arntsen, Waymon Thomas, Harrison James, Jack Lee and Drew Sykes. College of Charleston is hosting a 12-team field that also includes Furman, Michigan, Missouri and Washington State among others.
Coastal opens alongside Stetson and Furman on Monday morning, with Arntsen teeing off at 8 a.m. and Sykes last in the group at 8:44 a.m.
The Chants enter the week with a team championship and two top-five finishes already this fall. They won the season-opening Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, where Lee and Sykes shared medalist honors at 12-under 204 and the team finished 29-under 835.
Coastal also tied for fifth at the Highlands Invitational earlier in the fall before heading to Miami for the three-day Bryson event that ends Wednesday.
