MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Myrtle Beach and other Horry County voters who want to skip the Election Day crowds can now cast ballots early. In-person early voting for the Nov. 3 statewide general election began Monday, Oct. 19, and runs through Saturday, Oct. 31.

Seven centers are open across the county, and residents may use whichever one is most convenient. Three are in Myrtle Beach: the Carolina Forest Recreation Center on Carolina Forest Boulevard, the South Strand Recreation Center on Scipio Lane and the county complex on 21st Avenue North.

The other four are Aynor Town Hall on Main Street, the Loris Public Safety Center on Walnut Street, the North Strand Recreation Center on Highway 57 South in Little River and the county Voter Registration and Elections Office on Fourth Avenue in Conway.

Centers open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 6 p.m. every day except Sunday. Every center will be closed Sunday, Oct. 25. County officials note that an early voting site may not be the same place a voter normally goes on Election Day.

A photo ID is required. Accepted forms include a South Carolina driver license or DMV identification card and a voter registration card that carries a photo. Voters who need help can use a curbside area, where a poll worker brings a voting machine out to the car.

Sample ballots and Election Day polling places can be looked up on the state election commission website, scVOTES.gov.
