The updated policy now permits the display of a wider range of flags, including those representing military branches, first responders, and other patriotic or commemorative themes. This adjustment aims to better accommodate the diverse expressions of patriotism and support among its guests, many of whom are veterans or active service members. The campground, a significant part of the Grand Strand’s tourism infrastructure, attracts numerous visitors who often express their affiliations through flag displays.
In other local developments, Myrtle Beach city officials are reportedly nearing a compromise regarding RockFest, a music festival that has been a subject of discussion within the community. Details of the potential agreement have not yet been fully disclosed, but the ongoing negotiations highlight the city’s efforts to balance event promotion with community concerns. Additionally, the Carolina Country Music Fest (CCMF) is set to feature Florida Georgia Line as a headliner this year, further cementing Myrtle Beach’s reputation as a major destination for live music and entertainment, drawing thousands to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and SkyWheel area.

The site, which has been vacant for some time, was considered a potential location for new economic development, and its future remains uncertain following the collapse of the acquisition.
