Conway Transforms for Halloween Season
Conway is initiating its Halloween events, which will lead to traffic modifications and road closures. The official start of the spooky season in Conway began Thursday, transforming the city into the City of Halloween throughout October.
Conway police advise drivers who are just passing through the area to avoid downtown, particularly Main Street, as it is the central location for the city’s Halloween activities.
The city will implement traffic changes every weekend in October, from Thursday through Sunday, between 4 and 10 p.m. During these times, northbound drivers will not be permitted to make left turns at Third or Fourth avenues.
During the same hours as the traffic changes, Conway will operate free shuttles with stops on Marina Drive. Drivers can park at the former Santee Cooper Power Plant, located at 1330 Marina Drive. Additionally, an Americans with Disabilities Act-designated parking lot will be available at 1000 Second Ave., operating on a first-come, first-served basis.
