The latest public survey of South Carolina's U.S. Senate race puts Darline Graham, the Republican, at 46 percent and Annie Andrews, the Democrat, at 45 percent.
The interviews were done Sept. 28 and 29 with 1,200 likely voters, reached by text and an online panel and weighted for age, race, gender, and party affiliation. The stated margin of error is plus or minus 2.83 points, so the one-point gap sits inside that range.
Mark Hackett, the Constitution Party candidate, is at 3 percent. Kasie Whitener, the Libertarian, is at 2 percent. Four percent said they were undecided.
This is Darline Graham's race, not Lindsey Graham's. The survey is statewide. It does not publish a separate figure for Myrtle Beach, Horry County, or the Grand Strand. A check of public releases on Sunday morning found no horse-race survey of this matchup fielded after those two September days.
