Sen. Tim Scott Marries Mindy Noce in a South Carolina Ceremony

In a beautiful ceremony held in Charleston, South Carolina, Republican Sen. Tim Scott and interior designer Mindy Noce exchanged their vows on August 3, 2024. Sen. Scott, 58, and Noce, 47, were married in a ceremony at Seacoast Church’s chapel, according to sources. The news of their marriage was announced by the senator on his personal account just before 9 p.m. that Saturday.

A Cherished Moment

“Tonight, we promised to cherish and nourish each other and our marriage for the rest of our lives,” Senator Scott shared, expressing his joy and love for his new spouse. He continued with a quote from the Bible, Matthew 19:6, stating, “So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

The couple met through church friends and their relationship grew to love, culminating in this beautiful event. They have expressed a common love for reading the Bible and playing pickleball.

Seacoast Church’s Founding Pastor, the Officiant

Adding to the sentimental value of the wedding, Greg Surratt, the founding pastor of Seacoast Church and a long-time friend and mentor to Scott, officiated the wedding.
The ceremony was reverently observed with readings from Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, and a selection of New Testament scriptures.
Known to enjoy dancing and music, their first dance as a married couple was to Johnny Rivers’ “Swayin’ to the Music”.

Presence of Distinguished Figures

Making the occasion a politically noteworthy event, several high-profile political figures graced the ceremony with their presence. Among the notable attendees were former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., Sen. James Lankford, R-Okla., Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., former Colorado Sen. Cory Gardner, Rep. Mark Walker, R-N.C., former South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy and former Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam.

The Groom and the Bride

Sen. Scott has dedicated his life towards public service, becoming a powerful figure in the Republican party. His new spouse, Mindy Noce, is an accomplished interior designer hailing from a military family, with her father being a Navy veteran and all her brothers having attended military school.

Best Wishes Pouring In

Congratulatory messages poured in for the newlyweds from friends, colleagues, and well-wishers. Even former President Trump sent his well wishes to the couple via his personal social media platform.

With their new journey beginning, the union of Sen. Scott and Noce highlights two figures who show dedication to their respective fields flourishing in a loving relationship. Their shared love for their faith and simple pleasures like pickleball encapsulates the personal aspect behind the public figures and aids in their connection with the public. Wishing the newlyweds a lifetime of happiness!
