Kitchen Fire Affects Horry County Apartment Building

A kitchen fire in a multi-unit apartment building on Brentmoor Drive in Horry County on a Sunday resulted in the displacement of multiple residents. Horry County Fire Rescue was dispatched to the location around 12:16 p.m. following a reported alarm flow incident.

According to Horry County Fire Rescue, the alarm was triggered by a kitchen fire that was subsequently extinguished by the building’s sprinkler system. The activation of the sprinklers led to water affecting three floors of the building. As a result, residents from four units are currently displaced. No injuries were reported from the incident.
