Timmonsville Police Department Announces Homecoming Safety Measures
The Timmonsville Police Department is implementing safety protocols for the upcoming homecoming weekend, which runs from Friday to Saturday. The department’s objective is to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone in the community.
Officers will be actively enforcing all town and state laws throughout every homecoming event, with police activity continuing even after events conclude. There will be an increased presence of officers and patrols before, during, and after all homecoming activities, including at after-parties and gatherings.
Specific traffic and parking regulations will be in effect. Warren Street, from Main Street to Byrd Street, will be closed to regular traffic and designated for first responders. Parking is prohibited in this closure area, at the Green Space, and at the intersection of Warren Street and Main Street. Vehicles found in violation of these parking restrictions will be towed without prior warning. The same traffic and parking rules apply to after-parties and gatherings.
