Myrtle Beach, S.C. — Breeze Airways announced 11 new nonstop routes from Myrtle Beach International Airport on Tuesday, an expansion that airport leaders say will make the value carrier the largest airline at MYR once the flights launch in 2027.

The package nearly doubles Breeze nonstop destinations from Myrtle Beach to 25. New or expanded Northeast and Midwest links include Albany, Boston, Buffalo, Burlington, Columbus, Latrobe, New Haven, Portland, Portsmouth, Stewart/Newburgh and Syracuse, with promotional one-way fares advertised from $49.

Horry County Director of Airports Judi Olmstead said the cities are among the most requested markets for MYR travelers and that the added service supports tourism and local business traffic after Spirit Airlines shut down earlier this year.

Breeze began flying from Myrtle Beach in February 2024 with a single destination and has more than doubled seats and flights from MYR over the past year, according to airline and airport officials at the joint news conference with Visit Myrtle Beach.

Airport officials said Spirit once held about half of MYR capacity before the market was diversified; by the time Spirit closed, its share had fallen to about 23 percent, leaving room for Breeze and other carriers to rebuild nonstop options.
