Commencing an exciting new chapter in airline travel, Breeze Airways, today announced the launch of a seasonal flight service from Myrtle Beach International Airport to Akron-Canton, Ohio. Keeping affordability as its prime focus, the inaugural fares for the route are all set to start at an inviting $39 one way.

The fledgling airline, which started its service from Myrtle Beach International Airport in February this year, already transports passengers to seven different locations. The new seasonal route, introduced keeping in mind the increased demand for travel during the holiday season, aims at providing passengers a much-needed, economic travel option.

Breeze Airways: Expanding its Reach

Breeze Airways, the brainchild of David Neeleman, who also stands as the founder of JetBlue Airways, has been gradually extending its service destinations. The latest addition to this growing list is the scenic city of Akron-Canton, Ohio. The seasonal flight service will be operational on Wednesdays and Saturdays, offering convenient options for tourists and locals alike.

Alongside Akron-Canton, Breeze Airways currently offers flights to Charleston West Virginia, Harford CT, Providence RI, Tampa FL, Westchester County-New York, NY, and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, PA. Based on the feedback of the passengers and market demand, the airline may extend the service to other days of the week or introduce services to more destinations in the future.

A Welcome Addition for Myrtle Beach

Local businesses and tourist agencies foresee the new flight route as a positive development, expected to boost the tourism trade of Myrtle Beach during the holiday season. With seamless connectivity to Ohio from Myrtle Beach, it is anticipated that an influx of tourists will grace this coastal city, enhancing local business and contributing to the overall growth of the economy.

On the other end, Akron-Canton city in Ohio, known for its vibrant arts scene and charming historic sites, is expected to draw tourists from Myrtle Beach, enriching their travel experiences and proving mutually beneficial for both cities.

Emphasizing on affordability along with quality services, Breeze Airways has been gaining a reputation as a preferred choice for holidaymakers and business travelers, also contributing to the increased accessibility of smaller cities like Myrtle Beach.

Joining the Air Travel Recovery Wave

The launch of this new service by Breeze Airways comes amidst the recovery of the air travel industry, which faced a slump due to the unprecedented turmoil caused by the global pandemic. As restrictions ease and people once again start planning vacations, such affordable flight options are a welcome respite for the travel community.

Breeze Airways, with its new seasonal flight service and promise of affordability, is a part of the wave of recovery in air travel, aiming to reconnect destinations and enable more people to return to the skies confidently.
