MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Officers from two departments teamed up Friday to catch someone who bolted from a traffic stop near Farrow Parkway in Myrtle Beach, the Myrtle Beach Police Department said.
Police activity built up along the parkway after the person ran. Myrtle Beach officers worked alongside the Horry County Police Department to find the individual, who was then detained.
The city department later said the matter was over and that residents face no continuing danger. It also thanked partner agencies and the public for their patience while officers worked the scene.
As of Friday, police had not released the name of the person in custody, why the vehicle was pulled over in the first place, or whether any charges would follow. The department also did not say exactly where the capture happened.
Police made no mention of anyone being hurt during the search.
